Eugenia Villa-Cuesta is a Professor in the Department of Biology at Adelphi University. With the help of very talented students, Dr. Villa-Cuesta’s laboratory focuses on how genes and environment influence aging and diseases. In particular, her laboratory uses Drosophila melanogaster to study the role of the co-evolution between mitochondrial and nuclear DNA in the biology of mitochondria. This research is funded by NIH.
